Palmetto Ford Lincoln Reaches Out to Lowcountry Food Bank in Driven to Give Event

Palmetto Ford Driven to Give Event

CHARLESTON, South Carolina – Palmetto Ford Lincoln (palmettoford.com) will be hosting the Lincoln Driven to Give Event on Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the event, Charleston residents are encouraged to take a no-pressure test drive of a new Lincoln model; for each registered test drive, Lincoln will make a $20 donation to the Lowcountry Food Bank.

“The need for feeding the hungry is a year-round requirement,” commented Michael Kalinowski, Finance Manager, Palmetto Ford Lincoln, when asked why the dealership was holding the event to benefit the food bank. He added, “Summer months may be even more important because of schools being out and higher fuel and utility costs.”

The Lowcountry Food Bank is an important organization within the Charleston community, distributing a projected 19 million pounds of food this year alone to 210,000 hungry families, children, and seniors. Each dollar donated creates six meals, meaning one test drive at Palmetto Ford Lincoln will create 120 meals for those who need it most.

“Palmetto Ford Lincoln has teamed up with Lowcountry Food Bank in the past with great success. We know this will be no different, but only with the help of the generous people of Charleston,” commented Kalinowski. “This will be a NO PRESSURE event.  All you have to do is come in and register and test drive.”

During the day-long charity event, DJ Party Dad will provide musical entertainment. Guests can also visit several food trucks, all of which will be donating a portion of their proceeds to the food bank. These food trucks include Autobahn, Cast Iron, Roadside Seafood, Dulce, and Outta my Huevos.

The event will take place at Palmetto Ford Lincoln on 1625 Savannah Highway in Charleston, South Carolina. Guests can register the day of the event at the dealership.
