Volvo of Fort Myers to Host Operation Kidsafe Event on November 8th and 9th

FORT MYERS, FL – Volvo of Fort Myers is hosting a free Operation Kidsafe event on November 8th and 9th at 2600 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers. Families are encouraged to attend with their children and to participate in fingerprint documenting and safety education activities.

This free event will take place on Saturday, November 8th between 10:00 A.M. -5:00 P.M. and Sunday, November 9th between 12:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Operation Kidsafe International uses a process developed with FBI and police consultants to help improve the locating of missing children. Using all-digital resources, parents can have their children’s fingerprints scanned and picture taken, then printed and returned to them for safekeeping. To ensure personal confidentiality, the record goes home with the family and is not databased.

This important document can be given to police if ever they are trying to track down a lost or kidnapped child.

The event also teaches children how to be safe and avoid compromising situations.

“As the father of four, I know there is nothing more important than the safety of our children, and this program is a great step forward in helping keep them safe.” Said Loren Sheffer, owner of Volvo of Fort Myers.
