Win a Free Chevy from Jim Sigel Auto at This Year’s Boatnik

Jim Sigel Automotive Chevy Drive-It-Home Shoot-Out at Boatnik

Jim Sigel Automotive is participating in this Memorial Day weekend’s 56th annual Grants Pass Active Club charity event by sponsoring the Jim Sigel Chevy Drive-It-Home Shoot-Out competition.

GRANTS PASS, Oregon—Since 1959, the Grants Pass Active Club has raised money for local children and youth programs with “Boatnik,” an annual Memorial Day weekend event that features food, rides, games, and fun family-friendly activities. The big centerpiece of this year’s Boatnik is going to be the Jim Sigel Chevy Drive-It-Home Shoot-Out, which offers contestants a shot at winning a brand new Chevrolet vehicle.

The contest requires a fair amount of golfing ability and/or luck. Participants will be tasked with driving a golf ball from land into a 12-13” basketball hoop located on a floating barge in the middle of the Rogue River for a “hole in one.” The distance from the tee to the net will be approximately 130 yards.

Cover three rounds of play which run from Friday, May 22nd, to Sunday, May 24th, contestants will be eliminated one by one through head-to-head competition, with the player who is able to get his or her ball closest to the target advancing to the next round. The first player to hit a hole in one will win $500, and players will win $250 for each succeeding hole.

The final four remaining contestants will square off against each other on Sunday at 5:15 pm, with each attempting to sink a hole in one. Jim Sigel Automotive will award the grand prize “mystery” Chevrolet vehicle to the first contestant who manages a successful hole-in-one shot. Only one grand prize will be awarded.

The player who finishes first will be awarded with $1,000, the second place player will win $600, third place will win $300, and fourth place will win $100.

A maximum of 64 players can compete in the shoot-out, so contestants are encouraged to sign up now. The entry fee of $75 will go towards the Grants Pass Active Club, a non-profit charity which raises funds for children’s development organizations, including the 4H program, the Boys and Girls Club, the Girl and Boy Scouts of America, American Little League Baseball, and more.
